Planning of IAs

Throughout the fall semester I will be completing five assignments. As I complete these assignments I will post each one as a separate post to better organize my thoughts on my blog. I will finish each one before the deadlines by working on one at a time each week until they are all edited and completed. I will try to complete my assignments the Thursday before each assignment so that I can make last minute touches and edits on Friday before the actual deadline.

IA1: I will read the article or listen to the podcast that I choose first and then the weeks following I will write about it little by little until I complete it the week that it's due. If I finish earlier than the required time, then that works as well but as long as it is done by the Thursday before the due date then I know I am in the clear.

IA2: I will start with picking someone inspiring to interview. Then I will come up with questions for them and set up the planning to meet them. Once I have completed the interview and have all the answers I need to complete the summary of the interview, I will then write my blog post. The last piece will depend on how my interview went and who exactly I interviewed, then I can pick an article from Chatham's Business Insight to compare and contrast to my interviewee.

IA3: For this assignment I will be making a personal business plan so basically by using the prompts given I can set it up the best way to benefit me and my potential company. I can use the notes I have been taking from reading the textbook and the terms to help me set up my business plan. Having the understanding of the terms will help me write this business plan up and actually figure out all of the materials needed to complete this assignment.

IA4: I have already attended the PNC networking mixer so I can take the notes that I took on that to complete this assignment or if I go to another mixer in the future I can use that information for this assignment. Once I have picked what event I want to use for this assignment I can then make sure I answer all of the questions about the concepts and ideas I learned at the event. By writing that information down, I can then relate it to the textbook and material we have gone over in class. With that, I also need to relate the event to an article from one of the sources given. By the look of the sources given, it looks like the PNC event could best relate to MIT Technology Review or the Financial Times. But once I look into it deeper I can get a better idea of which article would be best to use.

IA5: As this is about one of the guest lectures who came to talk to our class I would like to pick the one that resonated with me the most and Professor Sandra Taylor already made an impact on me so I will most likely use this assignment to talk about her. She related her lecture to things we have been talking about in class and what we have read in our textbook, so I can easily relate what she talked about as well as use her personal experiences. Once I get all my thought written down about her lecture and how it relates to the course material, I can then pick an article that relates to what she brought up to complete this assignment.

In conclusion, I will also be citing all of my sources at the end of these posts with APA style. I will find connections throughout all of these assignments that relate to our course material and what we learn in class and in our textbooks outside of class, and then I will write the 3-5 paragraphs that are required for each assignment.
